Tea for Heart HealthDid you know that next to water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world? Most tea drinkers favor black tea to green and other types and 85% of Americans prefer their tea on ice.

Iced tea is huge in the midwest. “Sweet Tea” has a reputation for hot days and small town parades. And while tea tastes good, it is also known to have tremendous health benefits like being good for our bones, helping to lose weight and believe it or not, heart health!

When it comes to our hearts, the properties in tea can help improve blood vessel function and reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack. This is really good news since May is Stroke Awareness Month as well as Blood Pressure Education Month.

The infographic below shows not only the benefits of drinking tea but also which teas do what and how much tea it takes to make a difference in our health.
